The new collaboration will provide specialized AI courseware, faculty enablement, and technology integration to support workforce-relevant learning at CGCC
Chandler, Arizona – September 7, 2026 – Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC), one of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges, and Wawiwa, a global education provider focused on skilling the world for AI, today announced a partnership to bring specialized applied AI courseware in data and cybersecurity to CGCC.
Under the partnership, Wawiwa will provide CGCC with licensed instructional materials and curricula for two 60-contact-hour offerings: AI in Data and AI in Cybersecurity. The collaboration is designed to help CGCC expand practical learning opportunities that combine core professional disciplines with the AI skills increasingly required in today’s workforce.
CGCC has established itself as a leader in applied technology and AI education. The college was home to Arizona’s first Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning associate degree and certificate programs, launched in 2020, and today offers a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. CGCC also provides established pathways in data analytics, cybersecurity, networking, and other technology disciplines.
Gabriela Rosu, Ed.D., Dean of Instruction at CGCC said:
From Courseware to Classroom Delivery
The partnership goes beyond providing curriculum. Wawiwa will support CGCC across the implementation and delivery process.
Wawiwa will provide CGCC with its instructional materials and curricula for the AI in Data and AI in Cybersecurity offerings. Digital course modules will be hosted on a SCORM-compliant cloud platform with Wawiwa providing technical assistance to integrate the modules with CGCC’s Learning Management System.
Wawiwa will also provide faculty enablement and operational support, including assistance with local instructor recruitment, instructor training, and ongoing support while courses are being delivered.
The model reflects Wawiwa’s approach to working with colleges: providing ready-to-teach, workforce-aligned courses while enabling local faculty to deliver the learning experience. Wawiwa’s curricula emphasize practical AI application and hands-on learning and are designed to evolve alongside changing technologies and employer needs.
Eran Lasser, Founder and CEO of Wawiwa, said:
Preparing Learners for an AI-Transformed Workforce
The partnership reflects a broader shift taking place across higher education and workforce development. As AI becomes embedded in professional tools and workflows, colleges are increasingly being called upon to help learners build AI capabilities within existing career pathways.
For CGCC, the new courses complement an existing portfolio that includes artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, networking and security, and other technology programs. CGCC’s Data Analytics program prepares students to analyze and present complex datasets for business decision-making, while its cybersecurity pathways emphasize the practical and theoretical skills required to secure networks, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to evolving security challenges.
Through the collaboration, CGCC and Wawiwa aim to make applied AI learning accessible within two fields where professionals are already experiencing significant technological change.
