Celebrating the Launch of Our Very First Cohort!

Last Saturday marked a very special occasion for Wawiwa. On August 20th, Wawiwa’s partner in Sri Lanka, SLTC University and its Corporate Education arm, The Masters Corporate Education, gave its very first tech training session to a first cohort of the Data Analyst program, powered by Wawiwa Tech Training. This marks the beginning of a truly incredible period!

The first Data Analyst session was conducted virtually, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Following six months of onboarding, preparation, and collaboration between Wawiwa and SLTC, we marked the beginning of training for our very first cohort of data analysts, reskilling to this tech profession from a diverse range of backgrounds! This moment all came into fruition through the decades of tech knowledge, expertise, and the Israeli know-how used to power our JET methodology used in all of our programs.

Our first Sri Lankan cohort of 30 students had their first virtual session. Members of this program will learn the necessary knowledge and skills to become job-ready Data Analysts in Sri Lanka within six months of training.

Masters’ Data Analyst Trainer, Dileepa Samayawardena, is absolutely elated to teach this group of dedicated professionals. “We have an excellent cohort from diverse backgrounds in Finance, Marketing, HR, Legal, and Health Sciences,” says Samaywardena, “Participants also have varied roles within their organizations and are motivated to learn Data Analytics in depth, either to gain new skills to improve their day-to-day functions, explore new career opportunities, or help grow their own companies with a new vision for data and its value.”

Sri Lankan press also covered the news about the new innovative program and its impact on addressing the data skills shortage. Read about it here!

This first session marks the beginning of an exciting period at Wawiwa, where our partners around the world start opening doors to new programs such as Full-Stack Developers in Romania, Cybersecurity Analysts in Singapore and Australia, and UX/UI Designers in Poland. Wawiwa is on a path to become a global force for reskilling and upskilling.

As more partnerships are established, and more cohorts start their journey into tech jobs in high demand, we execute on our vision to bring the tech training know-how from Israel, the Startup Nation, to ecosystems around the world, contributing to closing the tech skills shortage and gap.

We wish the best of luck to our partners and students in Sri Lanka!

Partner with Wawiwa to offer tech training programs in less than 6 months!

Wawiwa bridges the tech skills gap by reskilling people for tech professions in high demand. There are millions of tech vacancies and not enough tech professionals with the relevant knowledge and skills to fill them. What the industry needs of employees is not taught in long academic degrees. Wawiwa helps partners around the world to reskill, and upskill people for tech jobs through local tech training centers or programs. The company utilizes a proven training methodology, cutting-edge content, digital platforms for learning and assessment, and strong industry relations, to deliver training programs that result in higher employability and graduate satisfaction. This, in turn, also creates a strong training brand and a sustainable business for Wawiwa’s partners.
