A global outsourcing company faced a challenge that many tech companies know too well: finding enough skilled talent fast enough to keep up with demand. Instead of competing for scarce professionals in the local market, Webiz in Georgia made a bold decision – to establish its own talent pipeline.
In 2025, Webiz partnered with Wawiwa to launch Webiz Academy, a tech training hub designed to reskill and upskill people for AI and data careers.
What began as a hiring challenge quickly evolved into something much bigger – a new approach to developing talent, aligned directly with industry needs.
Read the story of how it all started – and how one outsourcing company turned talent shortages into a competitive advantage.
Starting the Wawiwa-Webiz Partnership
Webiz is a global outsourcing software development firm, located in Georgia, which connects companies with tech talent through outstaffing solutions. Serving 100+ companies and sourcing more than 20,000 professionals, Webiz enables businesses to scale capacity, access specialized skills, and enter new markets.
Leading this vision is Eyal Bar Oz, Founder and CEO of Webiz, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in building and scaling R&D teams globally. Eyal brings deep expertise in affiliate marketing, ERP, SaaS platforms, and B2B/B2C strategies. He is also an active investor and mentor in numerous projects and startups, supporting innovation and driving growth across diverse markets.
As Webiz continued to grow, the company recognized that relying only on external hiring would limit its ability to scale quickly and maintain consistent delivery quality. This is why Webiz Academy was launched in partnership with Wawiwa.
The partnership evolved naturally after Webiz saw how effectively Wawiwa graduates integrated into industry projects and identified an opportunity to develop talent directly for market needs.
The timing aligned with Georgia’s growing position as a tech and outsourcing hub in Eastern Europe. With over 30,000 professionals currently in the tech sector and around 7,000 new tech graduates each year, Georgia’s talent pipeline is expanding – yet the industry still faces a significant skills shortage as demand outpaces supply.
Through this partnership, Webiz and Wawiwa are building a steady supply of AI and data professionals tailored for global outsourcing projects – strengthening Georgia’s delivery capabilities, lowering hiring friction, and positioning the country as a top nearshore destination for tech services.
Webiz chose to launch its academy with Wawiwa’s Data Analyst Program as its first learning path, because data talent is among the most demanded skills across its global partner network.
From Partnership to Launch in Less than 4 Months
After signing the partnership agreement, Webiz and Wawiwa Tech moved quickly from planning to execution. The teams aligned on training goals, launch strategy, marketing, and operational readiness, working closely to prepare Webiz Academy for its first cohort.
What made this partnership especially unique was the speed. In less than four months, Webiz successfully launched its first Wawiwa program locally – becoming the fastest partner launch in Wawiwa’s history at the time.
The opening introduced the academy’s first program – the Data Analyst Program – focused on preparing learners with practical AI and data skills aligned with industry needs.
The event brought together industry professionals, instructors, and future learners, all sharing a common vision: creating stronger career opportunities in AI and tech for the local workforce.

The First Data Analyst Cohort
In October 2025, Webiz Academy launched its first Wawiwa-powered Data Analyst cohort with 40 learners ready to build new careers in AI and data. Delivered online, the program combined live sessions, hands-on projects, and practical assignments designed to simulate workplace scenarios.
Built around Wawiwa’s JET Design™ methodology, the program focused on job-ready skills such as SQL, Python, Excel, data visualization, and AI analytics tools. Trainers completed Wawiwa’s Train-the-Trainer module to ensure students learned from professionals with industry experience and practical insight.
From the very beginning, learner engagement and feedback were strong. Students highlighted the program’s balance between theory and hands-on practice, as well as the supportive learning environment and practical relevance to real-world data roles.
“The Data Analyst Program gave me a clear understanding of how data is used in business decisions. I especially appreciated the practical assignments, Excel and BI dashboard work, and the support from mentors throughout the program.” – Luka Alughishvili
“What I liked most about the program was the balance between theory and practice. The final project helped me apply everything I learned and understand how a Data Analyst works.”- Ani Kaxiani
“This program helped me improve my analytical thinking and technical skills. I learned how to clean data, analyze information, build dashboards, and explain results in a clear and professional way.” – George Chkhaidze
What’s Next for Webiz Academy?
The graduation of the first cohort was only the beginning. With strong learner feedback, rapid market adoption, and growing demand for AI skills, Webiz Academy is already preparing for its next phase of growth.
The academy is launching a second cohort of Wawiwa’s upgraded AI Data Analyst Program and exploring new AI learning opportunities for professionals. Behind this expansion lies a broader vision for talent development, employability, and industry collaboration.
