Kruger Corp and Wawiwa: A Perfect Fit for Tech Education in Ecuador

Ernesto Kruger

Ernesto Kruger, a visionary entrepreneur and founding partner of Kruger Corp, played a key role in the establishment of Kruger School X.

With over 30 years of experience in exponential technologies, including Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and e-Government, Ernesto Kruger has been a significant force in Ecuador’s tech landscape.

His dedication to research, development, and innovation has driven Kruger Corp to excel in various sectors, including telecommunications, energy, and transportation.

Kruger Corp and Wawiwa Tech collaborated to transform tech education in Ecuador. This partnership began when Ernesto Kruger and Juan Pablo Espinosa Burgos from Kruger Corp explored Wawiwa’s JET Design™ methodology, which focuses on Job-Effective Training and practical, hands-on learning. Both saw the potential to address the tech skills gap in Ecuador with Wawiwa’s practical approach.

By June 2023, the partnership agreement was signed, emphasizing a mutual commitment to bridging the tech skills gap in Ecuador.

Ernesto Kruger remarked, “This partnership with Wawiwa Tech will empower our students with the necessary skills to excel in the tech industry, driving innovation and growth in Ecuador.” Juan Pablo, now the new Head of Kruger School X (the initial name of the new organization), added, “The collaboration brings together the best of both worlds – Wawiwa’s expertise in tech education and our deep understanding of the local market. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on our community.”

Onboarding Process: From Vision to Launch

The collaboration between Wawiwa Tech and Kruger School X officially started with an intensive onboarding process. After a detailed market assessment and consultations with local business leaders, three key programs were chosen: Full-Stack Development, Data Analysis, and Digital Marketing. Wawiwa customized its training to meet the specific needs of Ecuador’s tech industry.

Later this year, the first cohorts of Kruger School X launched, offering part-time bootcamps designed for working individuals. The hands-on, live sessions were met with enthusiastic feedback from students who appreciated the engaging methodology and practical skills they gained. This marked a strong start for Kruger School X in Ecuador’s tech education landscape.

What truly set Kruger School X apart was the “Kruger Experience” and special touch, which gave the center rapid brand recognition and strong positioning. The unique Kruger experience includes colorful branding starring a cute chameleon mascot, representing the different job roles that people can reskill to, and a distinctive hand sign of an X in group photos.

Expansion to New Programs

Following the success of its initial bootcamp programs, Kruger School X rebranded as Kruger Instituto Xponencial and expanded its offerings. The institute introduced new programs in UX/UI Design, QA, Digital Graphic Design, and Python Development. This strategic move aims to further address critical tech skills in the market, enhancing the capabilities of Ecuador’s workforce.

The addition of these new bootcamps broadens the skill sets available to students at Kruger Instituto Xponencial, reinforcing the center’s role in shaping Ecuador’s tech education landscape.

Eran Lasser

Eran Lasser, Founder and CEO of Wawiwa Tech, said: “The collaboration with Kruger School X has been a transformative journey. We are thrilled to see how our JET Design™ methodology has empowered students to acquire job-ready skills and how this partnership has adapted to the local market needs. Our commitment to continuous improvement and expansion, including the introduction of new programs – also in Spanish, reflects our dedication to providing high-quality tech education in Ecuador and Latin America. This journey has shown us that with the right partnership, guidance, resources, and support, we can quickly set up vibrant tech training centers and significantly impact communities, bridging the tech skills gap and preparing individuals for successful careers in the tech industry.”

Juan Pablo Espinosa, Head of Kruger School X, said: “We are immensely grateful for the partnership with Wawiwa Tech. Their expertise, dedication, and innovative approach to tech education have transformed our vision into reality. The success of our initial cohorts and the enthusiastic feedback from our students are testaments to the effectiveness of the JET Design™ methodology. As we look towards the future, we are excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings. Wawiwa Tech has provided us with exceptional training programs and is a great partner in our mission to provide quality tech education in Ecuador.”
