Greystone College Canada Partners with Wawiwa Tech to Offer a Suite of Tech Training Programs Designed to Get Students Job Ready

Vancouver, BC, Canada – Greystone College is excited to announce a new partnership with Wawiwa Tech, a leading technology education company based out of Israel, with experience leading tech education and training programs globally.  Greystone College Vancouver will begin offering three new programs, powered by Wawiwa, with the first intake starting this October 2023.  Students will develop job-ready skills that will enable them to work as Front-End Developers, Full-Stack Developers or Data Analysts, exciting tech careers that offer earning potential between 50-100% higher than Canada’s average salary.

The new programs are aimed at reskilling people for technology roles within six to nine months, even if they have no prior experience in technology or programming. Students who do have prior experience can upskill to the latest knowledge and tools in their fields. Greystone College will be using curriculum developed by Wawiwa and will implement Wawiwa’s training methodology – JET DesignTM which stands for Job-Effective Training. The JET DesignTM methodology is well-aligned with Greystone College’s existing teaching approach.  It supports students to build the knowledge and skills they require to get hired and be effective in tech roles and covers both technical and soft skills. This approach combines live lectures with a heavy emphasis on hands-on practice and real-life projects where students bring together their newly learned skills to develop a work portfolio.

Serving mainly international students, Greystone College’s new tech programs are focused on equipping students with tech skills that are in demand in the Canadian economy and globally. With extensive experience delivering well-supported co-operative education opportunities, the college will be looking to forge new partnerships with local tech companies in and around Vancouver who can take advantage of our vetted pool of job-ready graduates seeking co-op placement opportunities in the field.

According to Nadine Baladi, Vice President, Canadian Operations at ILSC and Greystone College, “Greystone College Canada is looking forward to expanding its portfolio in the tech space through this new suite of practical, hands-on programs. We feel confident that building on Wawiwa’s tech expertise will allow us to create exciting Canadian and global career and immigration opportunities for our students, as we support them to develop skills that will land them their first tech job.”

For Wawiwa Tech, the new partnership with Greystone College in Vancouver is an opportunity to further their mission to reskill the world to tech. Eran Lasser, Wawiwa Tech’s Founder and CEO said, “Through our partnership with Greystone College, we’re able to expand to Canada and reach a dynamic international market to train the next generation of tech professionals using our proprietary JET DesignTM methodology.  Bringing our accumulated know-how from Israel, the Startup Nation to this partnership, we are confident that Greystone College will soon become a reputable source for tech talent and change the lives of their graduates for the better.”

Greystone College Vancouver’s new Tech programs are set to launch starting as early as October 10, 2023, at the same time as a new Diploma in Project Management. Along with the program launch, the college also plans to hold regular tech career fairs and other networking events to help connect students and graduates with local industry.
